Shame on Pastor Chris Okotie!

An Open Letter to Pastors; Chris Okotie and Ladi Thompson of Nigeria

{This ministry is not connected to or affiliated with the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) of Nigeria. The opinions expressed on this blog are exclusively those of Pastor Kevin James }

In preparing my comments for publication, I first spent a significant amount of time in prayer. I love my two brothers in Christ - those being, Chris Okotie and Peters Ladi Thompson, both of whom are pastors residing in Nigeria, Africa.

It is not my desire to slander their name or taint their ministry. It is my foremost desire to see brotherly kindness, justice, fairness and truth prevail in their treatment of pastor/prophet T.B. Joshua.

Libel and Slander

Pastor Chris Okotie made a number of public comments to Nigerian newspapers and other media sources expressing displeasure with respected Pastor Chris Oyakilhome.

In his statements to media Okotie was not pleased that a respected pastor such as Chris Oyakilhome would associate with one T.B. Joshua.

When I read Okotie's comments I was personally saddened and in fact grieved in my spirit because it was clear that Chris Okotie was intentionally stirring up strife and division within the precious and sacred community of believers in Jesus Christ.

Here the points of concern:

  1. Okotie, you allege that T.B. Joshua is a practitioner an occult science called Docetic Gnosticism and Cerinthian heresy. {Reference source; paragraph 3 of your letter}. Your belief is an inaccurate statement and has no basis in fact or truth.
  2. Docetic Gnosticism was an ancient Greek spiritual belief system during A.D. 70 through A.D. 100.{Click the hyperlink for reference sources.}
  3. This particular group asserted that Jesus Christ did not rise physically from the grave as foretold by the Old Testament prophets, eye-witnessed by the apostles and recorded in scripture.
  4. It should be noted that Docetic Gnosticism faded away into history around A.D. 100.
  5. It is therefore impossible for T.B. Joshua or any person in our lifetime to have studied or practiced Docetic Gnosticism because there are no materials available today.
  6. Docetic gnosticism has no connection whatsoever to the occult or dark mystical arts. {See; Wikipedia Encyclopedia}
  7. Not one bible scholar can not identify a connection between Docetic Gnosticism and ‘shamanism’ as Chris Okotie has alleged.

All seven (7) points listed above are historical facts. They are not my opinions or beliefs.

Chris Okotie has therefore knowingly published false and misleading accusations against T.B. Joshua. As a man of the cloth is would be proper and honorable if he would apologize and make public retraction.

Cerithian Heresy

Pastor Chris Okotie, you went further to allege that T.B. Joshua he is involved with ‘Cerithian heresy’. {Paragraph 3 of your letter}.

This is another inaccurate statement and has no basis in fact. Cerinthus, was a Greek heretic (A.D. 100), who denied the divinity of our Lord Jesus Christ. According to Cerinthus, Jesus Christ was not born of a virgin as scripture plainly declares.

Cerinthus also believed that during the future millennial reign of Christ inhabitants of the earth would be in bondage to certain lust. {Reference Source: ‘The New Complete Works of Josephus page 103, authors, William Winston and Paul L. Maier}

Chris Okotie you have once again tried to deceive the public by misrepresenting Cerithian heresy in efforts to smear the good name of T.B. Joshua. You did this through blatant lies and fabrication.

Do The Right Thing - Repent

okotie Pastor Chris Okotie, I will assume that you are a God-fearing man man of unquestionable integrity. I will also assume that you are a humble man who would never seek to harm an innocent person or slander a man’s character unjustly.

If my assumptions are correct, then certainly you will not take issue with retracting incorrect statements? It will demonstrate Godly integrity, grace and honor.

Please understand, I am not asking you to change your opinion of T.B. Joshua. You’ve made it perfectly clear that you despise the man. That is your choice. Continue despising him all you wise.

I am simply asking you to make a retraction of your inaccurate, erroneous, false and misleading statements. Why should I waste my time and demand proof of T.B. Joshua's alleged involvement in sorcery or witchraft? Your own statements prove that your entire story is fabricated.

In paragraph four (4) of your allegations against T.B. Joshua, you made some very disturbing statements. I will quote from your letter;

He {T.B. Joshua} has three symbols of mysticism. The first is called "The Head of Jesus Christ" or "Christ". This is a reference to the source of his power. That power is invoked or acknowledged by the word, "Emmanuel". When "Emmanuel" is chanted, it energizes' the power. The scriptures say that the head of Christ is God. So when Joshua 'refers to that head, he is speaking of himself as God Incarnate.’

Do you expect an intelligent, God-fearing Christian to believe that an evil man can boss Jesus Christ around? Sorry, I don’t buy that idea and neither will other Christians who know their God.

No matter how many times a sinner, a witch or charlatan chants the name ‘Emmanuel’, God will not ‘energize’ that wicked soul as you claim. It won’t happen.

T.B. Joshua cannot be ‘energized’ to heal the sick or work miracles through people invoking the name - Emmanuel. Christ Jesus can not be deceived or manipulated by an evil man.

Please clarify your beliefs in this regard or retract your statement altogether.

In the Book of Acts chapter 19, the seven sons of Sceva tried to use the name of Christ to perform miracles and cast out demons. But we see that they failed miserably. The demonic forces stripped the men of their clothing and beat them up physically. No one can manipulate the name of God or abuse His power for evil purposes.

The facts are clear:

You, Chris Okotie, have knowingly and maliciously slandered the name of T.B. Joshua by publishing with unfounded allegations that he is involved in occult practices. You are intentionally slandering an innocent man.

Do the right thing and clear up this mess!

Accuser of The Brethren - Christian Witchcraft

by Pastor K.D. James

{This ministry is NOT connected to or affiliated with SCOAN, the Synagogue Church of All Nations - Nigeria in any way. The opinions and ideas expressed in this blog are those of an individual, Kevin. James and are not an official statement of SCOAN or Prophet T.B. Joshua}.

THE ACCUSER AGAINST THE BRETHREN

In the religion of Judaism and in the Hebrew language the name, 'Ha-Satan', means "the Accuser or the Adversary". In ancient Jewish culture names were not chosen at random or by accident. A name is given to an individual to accurately reflect a person's nature, character and conduct. It's important to understand the history behind Biblical names.

In the Book of Revelation 12:10, Satan is called, 'the accuser of the brethren'. When we study another term for Satan used in scripture, the Devil, we discover that it's derived from a Greek word, 'diabolos', which means; 'Slanderer' or 'Accuser.' The word "accuse" is defined as, "(1) to charge with, or declare to have committed a crime, (2) to find at fault; to blame . . ."

Scripture teaches us plainly that Satan is a liar. He is the father of lies and there is no truth in him. (John 8:44) People, if they are not careful can become an instrument used by the devil to carry out his work of slandering our brothers and sisters in Christ. For example; in the Old Testament Job's brethren falsely accused him (4:7-9). The attack on Job came from those who were closest to him, - his own family and dearest friends. In Matthew 12:22-24, the Pharisees falsely accused Jesus of wrongdoing. (Matt. 12:22-24).

A Sign of The Last Days

Among the sins characteristic of the "last days" is that some who profess to be followers of Jesus Christ will become "false accusers" (2 Timothy 3:3). Indeed, there are false brethren who are intentionally attacking God's true servants with malicious lies, slander and misrepresentation.

Since February of 2008, leading newspapers throughout Nigeria have reported on ‘alleged’ moral failures and supposed criminal activities all purported to have been committed by one T.B. Joshua, the General Overseer of the Synagogue Church of All Nations in Lagos, Nigeria.

Two individuals in particular, a Theresa Bisola Johnson a former church aid and Mr. Paul Agomoh a former associate minister under T.B. Joshua produced a video entitled, “Deception of the Age” (i.e. “Rise of a Nigerian Anti-christ”.

This video is being sold for $40.00 in some of the largest churches in the region. They assert in their video that their objective is simply to expose T.B. Joshua as a false prophet, a charlatan, and perpetrator of atrocious crimes.

However, we've discovered after months of careful examination of their claims, interviews with first-hand eye witnesses, the evidence proves that the Accuser of the Brethren is at work. Satan himself is working through Christians to slander an innocent man.

Specific Accusations

In the video Bisola Johnson described how she and others endured horrific psychological abuse and cult-like brainwashing. She claims to have been the victim of sodomy and her video co-star Mr. Paul Agomoh claims to have personally witnessed sexual orgies, the molestation of under age children, staged or fake miracles, and other sins, deceptive practices and criminal conduct.

The video entitled, 'Deception of the Ages' was co-produced by well known Pastor Ladi Peters Thompson of Living Waters Unlimited Church, Lagos. He is the individual responsible for reaching out and making contact with mainstream media. He actually broke the story if you will.

Rebellion, Slander and Witchcraft

Let's assume that Pastor Ladi Peters Thompson was sincere in his motives. Let's assume that his motive in going to the media was not self-centered, but merely to warn the people of T.B. Joshua in order to prevent further harm to others.

If that were the case, Peters Thompson should have followed the biblical process for dealing with sin in the camp. When we obey scripture and follow God's instructions we have divine protection and covering. Scripture outlines the process that must be followed to effectively deal with matters of this sort.

  1. II Corinthians 13:1, the church is commanded not to receive an accusation against a man of God unless it is confirmed by two or more eye-witnesses of sound moral character.
  2. Matthew 18:15-17,Moreover if thy brother shall trespass against thee, go and tell him his fault between thee and him alone: if he shall hear thee, thou hast gained thy brother. 16) But if he will not hear thee, then take with thee one or two more, that in the mouth of two or three witnesses every word may be established. 17) And if he shall neglect to hear them, tell it unto the church: but if he neglect to hear the church, let him be unto thee as an heathen man and a publican.”

By adhering to instructions presented in the Word of God all persons, whether guilty, not guilty and especially the innocent can have their privacy and human dignity protected. Moreover, by doing what scripture teaches we can determine whether or not allegations are true or fabricated. Peters Thompson made a terrible mistake in his decision to ignore scripture.

On a more important note, we must never forget that God's foremost desire is to bring all men to repentance. Jesus Christ died on Calvary for all men - even the most wicked of criminals. No matter how terrible the sin or how wicked the sinner, Jesus Christ is able to deliver ever soul from bondage to sinful habits.

If we approach conflict, sin and strife in the house of God with this mindset, God is free to work through us. He is able move through our words and our actions to motivate the sinner man to confess sin, repent of it and be restored. If we abandon scripture and forsake God's process - souls will remain lost in sin, condemnation, shame and strife will continue in the house of God.

A Christian should never allow personal opinion, rumor or superstition to distract us from our sacred calling which is - to save the lost. The behavior and actions of Peters Thompson, Chris Okotie and other Pentecostal leaders in Nigeria is shameful.

Here are reasons why I make this strong statement:

  • At no time has Pastor Peters Thompson made contact or even attempted to make contact with T.B. Joshua to inquire as to the truthfulness of the video content. (A direct violation of scripture)
  • As of this date (August 13, 2009), Peter Thompson insists that he will not dialogue with T.B. Joshua. Not by telephone, face-to-face or by any other medium. (This demonstrates willful disobedience against the biblical command to seek restoration when strife exists in the house of God).
  • Pastor Peters Thompson states adamantly that he will not review evidence that could clear T.B. Joshua of the allegations. (This proves that Peters Thompson is not in search of the truth).
  • Peters Thompson states on public record that if any such evidence exists it must be fabricated evidence.

This attitude is wrong, ungodly, unfair and in fact - demonic. To willfully reject and rebel against the word of God is witchcraft. One who embraces this attitude is unfit for ministry.

I Samuel 15:23, 'For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, he hath also rejected thee from being king.'

FALSE WITNESSES EXPOSED

The integrity of the two so-called ‘witnesses’ against T.B. Joshua is not credible to say the least. In fact, irrefutable evidence proves conclusively that they have lied on T.B. Joshua. Let's explore the evidence.

  • In 'Deception of the Ages - Part 4', Mr. Paul Agomoh boldly claimed that he purchased wheelchairs, even a specific wheelchair that was used to fake the healing of Maxwell Ijeh. (Forward to frame 5:20 sec.) Agomoh states in the video that Maxwell was manipulated and made to sit in and "pose" as if he was a crippled man.

Facts: Paul Agomoh is a liar! Mr. Maxwell Ijeh and his wife have come forward to testify on record that Agomoh's story is fabricated and untrue. Maxwell Ijeh says the wheelchair was his own personal property. Maxwell Ijeh further states that he was genuinely healed nine years ago after receiving prayer at T.B. Joshua's church. He also states that Jesus Christ alone is his healer, not a man. Maxwell Ijeh states that his wheelchair was not purchased by Paul Agomoh as alleged in the video.

  • Pastor Paul Agomoh alleged that Westerners were duped and manipulated into believing that T.B. Joshua had a 'healing anointing' on his life, when according to Agomoh the healings were fake and staged. This is another unsubstantiated lie of Paul Agomoh.

Fact: Jaco van der Westhuzen, a superstar rugby player from South Africa sought out prayer from T.B. Joshua due to a career threatening leg injury. Immediately after prayer, Jaco was filmed removing his leg brace and proceeded to leap and run without any pain or limitations. He returned to his rugby team and to this day, continues his sports career. Upon returning to South Africa, Jaco van der Westhuzen completed a medical evaluation. This video footage shows Jaco's doctor who standing by his side celebrating that something amazing did occur in the healing of this professional athlete. (Forward to frame 3.35 sec).

Fact: A delegation of respected clergy from the USA and Canada visited the Synagogue Church of All Nations to observe first-hand T.B. Joshua preach and pray for the sick. Among this delegation were Bishop Joseph Garlington of Philadelphia-USA, Pastor John Arnott of Toronto, Canada, Missionaries Rolland and Heidi Baker of Iris Ministries and others.

They carefully listened to his messages, they interviews individuals whom T.B. Joshua prayed for and thereafter claimed were healed. I have posted video footage of their findings. The evidence is clear. People were in fact healed after prayer. This is not opinion, speculation or guess work - is is fact. According to their reports T.B. Joshua make it abundantly clear that he is not a healer, but it is the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through the believer that produces the miracles. It is faith in the matchless name of Jesus Christ and confidence in God's ability to honor His promises in scripture.

These facts underscore the importance of why we must obey scripture and hear both sides of the story. This sacred responsibility can not be ignored or forsaken.

The female in the video, one Theresa Bisola Johnson who claimed that T.B. Joshua sexually abused her is untrustworth to say the least. Listen and watch the following video:

  • In this video footage we hear Bisola Johnson confession from her own mouth that she is an ‘emere’ (witch) on assignment to destroy the ministry of T.B. Joshua.

SHAME ON CHRIS OKOTIE

Failure to obey the Word of God is rebellion, disobedience and according to scripture - it is witchcraft. To bear false witness against a innocent brother or sister in Christ is to avail oneself to become an agent of demonic forces.

In my next report I will cover the allegations made by one; Pastor Chris Okotie of Household of God Church in Oregun-Lagos.

  • He alleges that T.B. Joshua has the spiritual ability to vacate his physical body at night and manifest himself in the home of his church parishioners or his enemies.
  • According to Pastor Chris Okotie, T.B. Joshua did in fact can appear as a 'familiar spirit' in his home using such spiritual powers. (Source: Christian Online Magazine)
  • Pastor Chris Okotie alleges that he has reason to believe that T.B. Joshua is a practitioner of 'docetic gnosticism'. He says that this is the source of T.B. Joshua's demonic spiritual powers.

Fact: Docetic Gnosticism is a belief held by ancient Greeks of 70A.D. to 100 A.D. It taught that Jesus Christ was not physically raised from the dead, but was an illusion. (Source; Wikipedia Encyclopedia) Docetism died out in approximately 100 A.D. It has nothing to do with occultism, spiritual or mystical arts. Therefore, its' impossible for T.B. Joshua or anyone in our lifetime to study or practice docetic gnosticism.

Pastor Chris Okotie is obviously a poor student of Gnosticism and bible history. Should we even waste time entertaining his belief that T.B. Joshua has the power to leave his body at night and appear in a physical form as a Familiar Spirit? Where is the proof? Where are witnesses other than than the accuser? I don't buy that fabricated story for one moment.

There is no evidence whatsoever to prove that allegation. It is based on superstition, myth and folklore. I am compelled to believe that Chris Okotie has other motives for coming against T.B. Joshua. This investigation will certainly be continued.

By the way, I paid a visit to Mr. Okotie's church website - http://www.householdofgodchurch.com/childrenschurch/. He sure looks very sharp in that wonderful suit, but the name of Jesus Christ is not even featured on his website.

There is not a one sentence on the saving grace and love of Christ anywhere to be found. Can a reader please encourage this man to get his priorities and his message in order?

Late this year Pastor Okotie accused Pastor Christ Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Ministries to have received his powers to heal the sick from T.B. Joshua. Everyone in Nigeria knows this is untrue. Pastor Oyakhilome has been praying for the sick long before T.B. Joshua's rise to fame. Wake up church! The lies and slander must stop.

The umbrella body of Pentecostals has banned miracle crusades from being telecast on Nigerian T.V. What a shame!

Not only is this move in direct opposition to the work of the Holy Spirit, it makes a statement to the whole world. It is an announcement to the world that 'Pentecostals', do not have the same Spirit and power of Pentecost as our name suggests. It is a statement which says, the Spirit that raised Jesus Christ from the dead according to Romans 8:11 - is not present in Nigerian Christian leaders.

Wake up church of Nigeria! Pray for your church pastors. Pray for a mighty revival of God's power to invade your beloved country and then, STAND UP for truth, honesty and Godly integrity.

Demonic Teachings of Balaam Has Invaded the Church

1241045_com_torahdanie

As a Christian Spirit-filled Pastor and lifetime student of Scripture, I believe ‘THE SECRET’ to be one of the most demonically inspired works ever produced. I am of the opinion that THE SECRET is a product of ‘seducing spirits and demons’. II Thessalonians 2:10-13 foretells of a strong spiritual delusion that will invade the church during the end-times. This is it.

– Pastor K. Dwayne James

DECEPTION #1Manifest and Attract Whatever You Want?

Who gave you the green light to manipulate time, matter and space? Who gave you the right to manipulate empirical laws of the universe in order to manifest whatever you want?

Indeed, there are divine laws of attraction or of ‘manifestation’ if one chooses to use that terminology. There are also principles that if put into action can lead to financial prosperity.

But herein lies the problem. We’ve forgotten that according to scripture God’s holy servants, even those empowered to work miracles did so after first – being led by the Lord to act! They functioned in the Name of the Lord and operated in full submission to God’s grace for that situation. No one took it upon themselves to manifest or attract whatever they so desired.

Let the Scriptures speak:

  • Mark 14:36, ‘And he said, Abba, Father, all things are possible to you; take away this cup from me: nevertheless not what I will, but what you will.’
  • John 4:34, Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work.”
  • Psalms 143:10, ‘Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.’
Psalms 40:8, ‘I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.’

In conclusion, a servant of God must be fully committed to obeying the will of the Master. We must carefully examine our motives and the deepest purposes of our heart when ask Him for things. In fact, our heavenly Father knows the things that we have need does He not? Indeed, He does. This is why Yeshua told us to 'take no thought for tomorrow, what we shall eat or what we shall drink'. (Matthew 6:25) Furthermore, how dare we even posture ourselves to demand of the Lord that He move on our behalf?

But Don't We Have the Power in Ourselves?

Yes we do. As believers in Yeshua Messiah (Jesus Christ) we are joint-heirs of our Lord's throne. (Ephesians 1:17-23) This means that the authority of the King of Glory has been delegated to the church. The church is the vehicle or instrument by which God exercises His will plan, purpose and will in the earth. Furthermore, scripture makes it known that our bodies are the temple of His Spirit wherein dwells the unlimited fullness of His power. (I Corinthians 6:17-19, II Corinth. 4:7, Colossians 1:27) Again, the answer is yes. Believers have been invested with dynamic power from heaven. The same Spirit that raised Messiah from the dead and split the Red Sea resides within our bodies. (Romans 8:11) However, we are not the boss. We are bondservants and stewards of ‘His’ power. Even with supernatural gifts of the Spirit, are they not tools to be used for building His kingdom? These gifts should never be manipulated or exploited for self-centered purposes.

Consider for a moment. When the believer stands at the Judgment Seat of Christ or to be technically accurate, 'the bema seat', (Romans 14:10-13, II Corinthians 5:10), it's not to determine whether or not one deserves the lake of fire, but it is the judging of our works and stewardship. (Luke 12:42-48, Revelation 22:12, I Corinthians 4:1-2). It's all about faithful stewardship of the gifts, talents and power He has given us.

One factor that distinguishes a servant of God from a sorcerer is that God's servants yield to the leading of the Lord, but sorcerers and enchanters use their gifts or powers as they so please.

DECEPTION #2

Beware of the Teachings of Balaam

Revelation 2:14, “But I have a few things against you: You have there some who HOLD TO THE TEACHING OF BALAAM, the one who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the people of Israel so that they would eat food sacrificed to idols and practice immorality”.

In the Book of Revelation we find the Lord Himself giving strong words of warning to each of the seven churches of the last days. To the church of Pergamos Christ issues a specific warning to stay away from 'the teachings of Balaam'! If this warning is ignored the Lord promises to fight against that person or people when He comes!

The church of Pergamos is described in Revelation 2:13: "I know thy works, and where thou dwellest, even where Satan's throne is ...." The church was hanging out in the middle of Satanic territory. According to the text, the church was right at Satan's throne. This is a picture of how God's people had married the world and entered into covenant with the fallen cosmos system. The church had compromised its' first love and was now in league with the practices and teachings of Balaam.

Further along in chapter two our Lord makes a direct connection between the teachings of Balaam and Jezebel the false prophet. Both of these demonic forces unite to lead God’s end-time people into idolatry, immorality and sexual defilement.

Exactly what is the doctrine of Balaam? According to the account in the Book of Numbers (chapters 22, 23 and 31) Balaam was a true Prophet by definition. He was gifted in his ability to get a word from God and tap into the spirit realm.

To summarize what happened, God specifically instructed Balaam not to go with men who sought to curse and kill the children of Israel, “You shall not go with them…” (Num 22:12). Balaam understood those instructions, but was enticed because they offered him riches and wealth.

Rather than obey God's clear instructions the first time, Balaam went back to God again and asked if it was okay to go. Balaam was pushing the threshold. In essence he was pushing God, tempting God in order to get a favorable word. Therefore, God eventually told Balaam, “If the men come to call you, rise up and go with them” (Num 22:20).

The following morning, Balaam got up and went with the men (Num 22:21) — but the men had not called on Balaam! God told Balaam that he could go only if the men called him to rise up and come with them. As a result of Balaam's rebellion and disobedience the angel of God stood in the way, sword in hand, intending to kill Balaam (Num 22:22; 31-33).

God told Balaam that the reason He intended to kill him was because his Way was perverse. (Num 22:32).

The problem with Balaam was that he did not heed and obey the first instructions given by Yahweh! Balaam rejected God's first instructions and sought a different word, a favorable word. In order to get the money, the prophet compromised full obedience to God. He ended up leading the children of Israel into spiritual ruin.

The doctrine of Balaam states, ‘use the gifts of God, manipulate spiritual forces to get wealth or whatever you want. There is no need to submit to God’s will, no need to get permission, no need give Him glory. Get whatever you want or whatever you need.’

This is exactly what’s happening in mainstream Christianity today! The so-called gospel is no longer about the need for a Redeemer or the new birth. It's all about success, personal empowerment, wealth and prosperity. The teachings of Balaam has certainly invaded our churches.

1 Timothy 4:1 states that in the last days, men and women will depart from the faith giving heed to ‘seducing spirits and doctrines of demons’. The doctrine of Balaam is specifically mentioned in Revelation chapter two as a force that will lead the end-time church into apostasy if it is not abandoned.

DECEPTION #3

The Doctrine of the Nicolaitans

"So hast thou also them that hold the doctrine of the Nicolaitans, which thing I hate" (Rev. 2:14-15)

The church at Pergamos had also embraced the doctrine of the Nicolaitans.

This Greek word is a compound. It consist of two parts. The first is "Nico" and "laitans" is the second. "Laitans" is derived from the root of "laity," which means 'the ordinary, common people'. "Nico" means to subdue, to conquer, or to rule over.

What is God telling us here? We need to wake up and realize that the "Nicolaitans" were those who sought to conquer and rule over the common people. In the kingdom of God there is only one Head, one Ruler and Lord. His name is Yeshua Hamoshiach! He has made all of us 'a kingdom of priest' and joint-heirs of His throne. God plainly declares that he hates the Nicolaitan system. (Revelation 2:15) It's time for the body of Christ to stop feeding this demonic system and get her teachings out of our presence.

DECEPTION #4

Don’t Eat Things Sacrificed to Idols

In a spiritual sense we eat or consume doctrine or teachings by allowing them to become a part of our spirit makeup.

Mark 16: 5-12, ‘When they went across the lake, the disciples forgot to take bread. 6) “Be careful,” Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast {leaven} of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”

7) They discussed this among themselves and said, “It is because we didn’t bring any bread.”

8) Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, “You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread? 9) Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? 10) Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered?

11) How is it you don’t understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” 12) Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.’

Yeshua taught in Luke 16:13

13"(I)No servant can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other You cannot serve God and (J)wealth."

The Watchers

Daniel 4:13 (KJV), ‘I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and, behold, a watcher and an holy one came down from heaven;’…

Daniel 4:23 (KJV), ‘In that the king saw an angelic watcher, a holy one, descending from heaven and saying, "Chop down the tree and destroy it; yet leave the stump with its roots in the ground, but with a band of iron and bronze around it in the new grass of the field, and let him be drenched with the dew of heaven, and let him share with the beasts of the field until seven periods of time pass over him,…"

Daniel 4:17 (KJV), ‘This matter is by the decree of the watchers, and the demand by the word of the holy ones: to the intent that the living may know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will, and setteth up over it the basest of men.’
Deuteronomy 33:2, ‘He said, "The LORD came from Sinai, And dawned on them from Seir; He shone forth from Mount Paran, And He came from the midst of ten thousand holy ones; At His right hand there was flashing lightning for them.’

Psalm 89:7, ‘A God greatly feared in the council of the holy ones, And awesome above all those who are around Him?’

DEFINING THE WATCHERS
The watchers as they are referred to in Scripture, are also called 'sons of God' and holy ones. In the Hebrew language they are called 'ben-Elohim'. These ben Elohim comprise the divine council or magistrates of Elohim. (Psalms 82:1, Genesis 1:26-27).

Yahweh is the supreme Elohim, but beneath Him, serving Him and with Him are magistrates if you will - a council of Elohim (gods).

In Genesis chapter one Elohim spoke to other Elohim and said, Let us make man in our image after our likeness.’ (verse 26). Elohim was speaking to His council of holy ones, the divine magistrates of sons.

Daniel 7:9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire. A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him:..."

According to Genesis chapter six and extrabiblical texts, the ben Elohim disobeyed God and abandoned their God-given assignment to watch over and protect mankind. Instead, they found earthly women attractive and ended up mating with women producing offspring. (Genesis 6:4, 1 Enoch 6:1-8, 7:1-6).

“The Nephilim were on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men, and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown” – Genesis 6:4

These fallen angels or Watchers or holy ones as we know they are called produced mighty giants called Nephilim. The DNA of mankind was corrupt because of their transgression. This is the primary reason why the Lord destroyed the world by the great flood saving only Noah and his family. There is an abundance of solid archeological evidence to support this biblical account.

TRACING THEIR ROOTS
WATCHERS ARE NOT NEPHILIM
One should not confuse watchers, the Grigori or ben Elohim for the Nephilim. The Nephilim were merely the offspring of watchers and human women.

Other Names for the Nephilim & Nephilim-based Tribes:

As the Nephilim spread across the landscape, interbreeding with various people groups, these Nephilim-based tribes acquired various names in various parts of the world. A few of the known names were:

Emim which means “Terrors”

The Emim was the Moabite name for one of the tribes of Rephaim. They are described in Deuteronomy chapter 2 as having been a powerful people, populous and having a successful kingdom. They were defeated by the Moabites, who occupied their land. The Emim are also mentioned in Genesis 14:5 and according to Rashi, the name is translated as "the dreaded ones" (Hertz 1936).

"The Emims dwelt therein in times past, a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakim"(Deuteronomy 2:10-11).

Repha'im which means “Weakeners”

"Rephaim" are an ancient "race" of giants in Iron Age Israel, or the places where these individuals were thought to have lived: see Gen. 14:5, 15:20; Deut. 2:10-1,20, 3:11,13; Josh. 12:4, 13:12, 15:8, 17:15, 18:16; 2Sam. 5:11,22, 23:13; 1Chr. 11:15, 14:9, 20:4.

Gibborim which means “Giant Heroes”

Gibborim is a Hebrew word that can be translated "mightiest" which is an intensive for gabar that can be translated "mighty". In Genesis 6:4, this passage describes the Nephilim as mighty (gibborim).

Zamzummim which means “Acheivers”

The Zamzummim were a race of giants in Hebrew mentioned in the Hebrew Bible. They are described as having been a powerful people, populous and having a successful kingdom. They were defeated in the War of the Kings along with other Biblical giants such as the Rephaim, the Emim and the Horim. Sometimes the Zamzummim are referred to as Zumim. "Zamzummim" (used by the Ammonites) comes from a Hebrew word which literally translates into "Buzzers", or "the people whose speech sounds like buzzing." In Arabic the word zamzamah translates as a "distant, unclear sound". The area of Moab at Ar, (the region East of the Jordan) before the time of Moses, was also considered the land of the Rephaites. However, the Ammonites referred to them as the Zamzummites. The Zamzummites were a numerous and powerful race that was destroyed by God (Deuteronomy 2:18-21).

Anakim which means either “long-necked” or “wearers of necklaces”

Anakim (or Anakites) are the descendants of Anak, and dwelt in the south of Canaan, in the neighbourhood of Hebron. In the days of Abraham, they inhabited the region afterwards known as Edom and Moab, east of the Jordan river. They are mentioned during the report of the spies about the inhabitants of the land of Canaan. The book of Joshua states that Joshua finally expelled them from the land, except for a remnant that found refuge in the cities of Gaza, Gath, and Ashdod. The Philistine giant Goliath, whom David later encountered, was supposedly a descendant of the Anakim (see Numbers 13:32–33).

Horim

Some scholars identify the Perizzites with the Horim giants. They lived in the vicinity of Shechem. A large clan of the Rephaim occupied the territory just north of them. The children of Joseph apparently took Moses' advice and destroyed or drove out all these giants, for afterward they occupied that land. And, indeed, it was not taken until some four centuries later, in the time of David. When Joshua attacked it, some Horim giants supposedly lived among the Jebusites.

In Biblical historical texts, the Amorites are most frequently mentioned in connection with the Nephilim and the Nephilim-based tribes. Sayce, among other historians, have uncovered historical references to the Amorite-based Nephilim as being of light complexion, being blue-eyed, and possessing dolichocephalic traits (aka: "long-headed").

Of all the biblical accounts of these entities called Watchers, the book of Daniel gives the most vivid account of their work.

Daniel 8:13-19 (Complete Jewish Bible)
13) Then I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one said to the speaker, “How long will the events of the vision last, this vision concerning the regular offering and the transgression which is so appalling, that allows the sanctuary and the army to be trampled underfoot?” 14 The first said to me, “Two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings, after which the sanctuary will be restored to its rightful state.”

15) After I, Dani’el, had seen the vision and was trying to understand it, suddenly there stood in front of me someone who appeared to be a man. 16) I heard a human voice calling from between the banks of the Ulai, “Gavri’el, make this man understand the vision!” 17) He came up to where I was standing, and his approach so terrified me that I fell on my face. But he said to me, “Human being! Understand that the vision refers to the time of the end.” 18) As he was speaking with me, I fell into a deep sleep, with my face toward the ground; but he touched me, set me on my feet, 19) and said, “I am going to explain to you what will happen at the end of the period of fury, because [the vision] has to do with the time at the end.'

The King James translation uses the word ‘saint(s)’, but in the ancient Greek Septuagint the phrase is ‘holy ones’. The Complete Jewish Bible and Hebrew translation reads holy ones as well.

Notice in verse 13 that the Prophet Daniel heard ‘holy ones’ speaking. In verse 15, a holy one instructs the messenger Gabriel (who looked like an ordinary man) to make the vision known to Daniel.

In the Jamison-Fausset Brown Bible Commentary an explanation of watchers is provided.

13. Watcher and an holy one-rather, "even an holy one." Only one angel is intended, and he not one of the bad, but of the holy angels. Called a "watcher," because ever on the watch to execute God's will [Jerome], (Ps 103:20, 21). Compare as to their watchfulness, Revelation 4:8, "full of eyes within they rest not day and night."

Also they watch good men committed to their charge (Ps 34:7; Heb 1:14); and watch over the evil to record their sins, and at God's bidding at last punish them (Jere. 4:16, 17), "watchers" applied to human instruments of God's vengeance. As to God (Dan. 9:14; Job 7:12; 14:16; Jere. 44:27). In a good sense (Gen. 31:49; Jere. 31:28). The idea of heavenly "watchers" under the supreme God (called in the Zendavesta of the Persian Zoroaster, Ormuzd) was founded on the primeval revelation as to evil angels having watched for an opportunity until they succeeded in tempting man to his ruin, and good angels ministering to God's servants (as Jacob, Gen. 28:15; 32:1, 2). Compare the watching over Abraham for good, and over Sodom for wrath after long watching in vain for good men it it, for whose sake He would spare it, Gen. 18:23-33; and over Lot for good, Gen 19:1-38).

Here is a YouTube video clip on some of the demonic work that fallen watchers have committed against mankind. I posted this video not for mere fascination or amusement, but to show proof that what scripture declares in Genesis chapter six about ‘sons of God’ having sexual relations with mortal women – is true.

HA-SATAN IN THE HEBREW APOCRYPHA
The 2nd Book of Enoch, also called the Slavonic Book of Enoch, contains references to a Watcher Grigori called Satanael.

The text describes Satanael as being the prince of the Grigori who was cast out of heaven. According to the text, he who knew the difference between what was "righteous" and "sinful".

A similar story is found in the book of 1 Enoch; however, in that book, the leader of the Grigori is called Semjâzâ.

In the apocryphal literature, Satan rules over a host of watchers. Mastema (another name for Satan), persuades God (so he thinks) to test Abraham through the sacrifice of Isaac, is identical with Satan in both name and nature.

The Second Book of Enoch can be divided in four sections:
1) In the first section (chapters 1-21) Enoch, when already at the age of 365, is taken by two angels and made pass through the seven heavens, one by one. The first heaven is found to be the place where the angels control atmospheric phenomena. In the second heaven he finds the prison for the rebel angels. In the third heaven he finds both paradise (as in 2 Cor 12:2) and hell for the men. The fourth heaven is the place of movements of the sun and of the moon which are described in detail. In the fifth heaven Enoch finds some Grigori (a group of fallen angels called Watchers who mated with women) that are grieved and he persuades them to resume their liturgical service. In the sixth heaven he finds the angels in charge of governing the cosmos and peoples.

2) In the second section (chapters 22-37) Enoch, now guided by Gabriel, is allowed to enter in the seventh heaven where he sees the Lord face to face. Afterwards he is anointed by Michael and becomes similar in appearance to the angels. The Lord asks the angel Vereviel to dictate to Enoch 360 books containing all that is knowable. Later, the Lord himself tells to Enoch the secrets of the creation up to the flood, which are unknown even to the angels. Enoch is finally sent back on the earth for thirty days.

3) The third section (chapters 38-68) is a list of doctrinal and ethical instructions given by Enoch to his sons: the main moral principle is the love for all the living beings (similar to the ethics found in the Testaments of the Twelve Patriarchs), particularly noticeable is the lack of interest for the sin of fornication and not once is the Law of Moses referred to; Enoch teaches the uselessness of intercessions. At the end of the thirty days Enoch is taken into the heaven forever.

4) The last section (sometimes referred to as the Exaltation of Melchizedek) outlines the priestly succession of Enoch. Enoch's son, Methuselah is asked by the people to act as priest but this solution is seen as temporary. Also temporary is the priesthood of Nir, grandson of Methuselah. Afterwards is narrated the miraculous birth of Melchizedek and his new priesthood (see Melchizedek in the Second Book of Enoch for a short summary). In manuscript B and in the long versions this section ends with a short narrative of the Deluge.

Unknown Truths About ha-Satan

by Pastor K. Dwayne James

The objective of this lesson is to help Christians understand ‘the Adversary’ from a Jewish perspective. To do that, I’m going to take us on a journey back into the Hebrew roots of our faith which of course is – Judaism. I believe you will find this study quite informative and enlightening.

Get your bible and prepare to take some notes. It’s time that God’s people wake up and shake off the false teachings of the apostate Greco-Roman religious system.

Ha-Satan Identified

Turn with me to the Book of Job (Iyov) chapter one. I am using the Complete Jewish Bible translation so expect to see Hebrew words and terminology. Don’t worry, I’m explain things as we go and I’ll provide solid reference sources.

Job 1:6-12 (Complete Jewish Bible)

‘It happened one day that the sons of God came to serve Adonai, and among them came the Adversary [Hebrew: Satan]. 7) Adonai asked the Adversary, “Where are you coming from?” The Adversary answered Adonai, “From roaming through the earth, wandering here and there.” 8) Adonai asked the Adversary, “Did you notice my servant Iyov, that there’s no one like him on earth, a blameless and upright man who fears God and shuns evil?” 9) The Adversary answered Adonai, “Is it for nothing that Iyov fears God? 10) You’ve put a protective hedge around him, his house and everything he has. You’ve prospered his work, and his livestock are spread out all over the land. 11) But if you reach out your hand and touch whatever he has, without doubt he’ll curse you to your face!”

12) Adonai said to the Adversary, “Here! Everything he has is in your hands, except that you are not to lay a finger on his person.” Then the Adversary went out from the presence of Adonai.’

The first thing we discover is that ‘ha-Satan’, which is Hebrew for "the Adversary" came into Yahweh’s presence reporting for service. We also discover that he comes into Yahweh’s presence with many other angelic sons of God, like him.

Later in this teaching we will deal with the topic of ben-Elohim (sons of God) who are of this angelic realm. They are also called ‘Watchers’. Don’t confuse ben-Elohim with low rank demons and unclean spirits. They are not the same thing. We’ll cover this in another teaching. I pray that your eyes are being opened to a few key points here:

  1. All angels, even the wicked angelic host serve the Lord.
  2. They must report to the Lord, serve Him.
  3. Ha-Satan is fully accountable to Yahweh, he is a servant of Yahweh and is required to give account of his whereabouts and activities.
  4. Ha-Satan has limitations and restrictions placed on him. Ha-Satan can only do what God gives him permission to do.

The general belief in Judaism is that there are a class of ben Elohim (angelic sons of God) with a chief. Rabbinic teachings and works from Hebrew sages are the source for this belief.

For example, in the Book 1 Enoch, there are 5 ha-Satans. The first and second are said to have been responsible for leading astray the angels and for bringing them down to earth, where they sinned with the daughters of men (69:4), while the third brought about the fall of Adam and Eve (69:6). The ha-Satans are allowed to access heaven in order to accuse men, but they are not confined to heaven.

Ha-Satan in Tanakh

The name ha'-Satan in the Hebrew language means, ‘the accuser or one who opposes’. In Judaism ha-Satan is the angel-accuser, tempter, a prosecuting attorney or Adversary.

The word is not a name or a title, it is a noun. The word describes what the entity does. He is an adversary or opposing force to the children of Israel and at times servants of Yahweh. Yet, ha-Satan is nothing more than a servant of Yahweh under HIS command as all angels are.

In the Hebrew Tanakh (complete volume of Old Covenant Scriptures), the terms ha-Satan and ‘Adversary mean the exact same thing. The terms ha-Satan and adversary are mentioned twenty-four (24) times in Tanakh. Out those twenty-four references only five (5) are specific references to the angelic entity ha-Satan.

    1. Twice Ha-Satan is mentioned in the Balaam's ass story which is in Numbers chapter 22. The Angel of the LORD (God Himself) is identified as ‘an adversary’ or a physical block to Balaam's journey in Numbers 22:22.

    2. Later in Numbers 22:32 the Angel of the LORD specifically identifies himself by claiming to be an adversary, again using the term Satan.

    3. In the Book of 1 Chronicles 21:1, Ha-Satan incites David to conduct an unlawful census.

    4. The fourth time is in the Book of Job chapter one.

    5. The fifth and last mention is in Zachariah 3:1.

The more study one does on ha-Satan it becomes clear that ha-Satan in nothing more a servant of God, an instrument or person used to carry out the purposes of Yahweh. We must never forget that ultimately God exercises sovereign control over both good and evil.

Isaiah 45:5-7 (NASB) “I am the LORD, and there is no other; Besides Me there is no God. I will gird you, though you have not known Me; 6) That men may know from the rising to the setting of the sun; That there is no one besides Me. I am the LORD, and there is no other, 7) the One forming light and creating darkness, causing well-being and creating calamity; I am the LORD who does all these.”

      Yetzer Hara

The Talmud distinguishes between the personified ha-Satan outside man, and the Yetzer ha Ra (evil impulse or inclination) that exists within man. It is this evil impulse within man that allows entity ha-Satan the opportunity to work against man as his Adversary.

Outside Forces Are Not the Problem

Mark 7:18 (ISV), “He said to them, "Are you so ignorant? Don't you know that nothing that goes into a person from the outside can make him unclean?”

In the above passage of Scripture Yeshua Messiah was teaching that nothing getting into a person from the outside is able to make him spiritually unclean. Our own wicked thoughts, secret unclean affections and impure motives are the root of our problem.

As a corrupt fountain sends forth corrupt streams, so does a corrupt heart send forth corrupt reasonings, corrupt appetites and passions, and all the wicked words and actions that come from them. In other words, stop blaming the devil or demons for the mess that’s inside of your own heart!

This truth is repeated in the Book of James.

      James 1:13

‘When someone is tempted, he should not say, “I am being tempted by God,” because God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone. 14) Instead, each person is tempted by his own desire, being lured and trapped by it. 15) When that desire becomes pregnant, it gives birth to sin; and when that sin grows up, it gives birth to death.’

Now, we’ve gotten down to the root of our problem. It’s not ha-Satan, demons, evil parents or a not so pleasant childhood. It’s the person staring back at you in the mirror who’s the source of your problem.

Yes, we all know that our environment and experiences in that environment foster either a positive or negative personal construct. Psychologist refer to this as Personal Construct Theory.

A personal construct refers to factors that shape our core beliefs, our personality, and the way we perceive experiences and the world around us. Each one of us perceives life experiences differently because of the different variables that have influenced our belief system.

Ultimately, we are responsible for allowing negative and sinful thoughts to grow up within our heart and produce sinful behavior.

Thank Yahweh for raising us up out of bondage to death and the Adamic nature together with Messiah! Truly, we should give Him thanks for the resurrection and how that we are immersed in union with Him in every way. It is my prayer that every believer open up and allow the resurrection power of His grace to transform the wicked soul into His own likeness, and that we walk in obedience to Torah!

      II Peter 1:4

‘Whereby are given to us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these you might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

      The Prosperity Gospel Deception

I Timothy 6:3-8, 'If anyone teaches false doctrines and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, 4he is conceited and understands nothing. He has an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions 5and constant friction between men of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.

6But godliness with contentment is great gain. 7For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. 8But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that.'

Oh boy, has God gotta' blessing for you! Simply get out your credit card or check book and give the biggest 'SEED FAITH GIFT' you possibly can - and God is gonna' bless ya! But give God your best and do it in faith.

According to the gospel of Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, Leroy Thompson, Mike Murdock and several other TBN favorites, simply give money to the work of the gospel consistently and you're guaranteed to receive a 30 fold, 60 fold or 100 fold return on that investment. Now whatever you do, please don't stop and actually do the math. You see, if we actually work the math on the "100-fold return" here's what you'd get:

      • Give $100. According to the formula, God will return to you $10,000.
      • Give give $10,000 and God is required to give back to you the amount of $1 million.
      • Give God $1 million and He owes you $100 million.
Are you getting the picture? Do you see just how ridiculous this SEED FAITH blessing concept is? If these preachers really believe in this principle, why don't they put it into action to the extent that they don't have to beg us for money anymore?

Have you ever wondered how Saint Paul got along financially? Did he have a financially prosperous ministry? Let's read Saint Paul's own words:

      I Corinthians 4:11 (NKJV)
      11) 'To the present hour we both hunger and thirst, and we are poorly clothed, and beaten, and homeless. 12) And we labor, working with our own hands. Being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we endure; 13) being defamed, we entreat. We have been made as the filth of the world,...'

Several things about Paul's words stand out to me.

      1. He suffered and endured in weakness in order to make others strong spiritually. (verse 10)
      2. According to Paul's own words, at the moment of writing his letter Paul was suffering from both hunger and thirst. (verse 11)
      3. According to Paul's own testimony he was poorly clothed, beaten and homeless. (verse 11)
      4. He labored a job, working with his own hands. (verse 12)

What part of the word 'homeless' don't we understand? What part of the words 'hunger and thirst' are difficult to understand?

The time has come to look at the full counsel of scripture for what it plainly declares. All so-called ministers who sell blessings, promise financial abundance and make merchandise of God's precious sheep must be held accountable. Personally, I think their scheme fits the definition of criminal racketeering. They are knowingly and intentionally manipulating hurting, desperate people out of their hard earned cash. They are guilty of a serious criminal offense that merits jail time.
